I was excited to contribute last Friday to the really great Interdisciplinary Palliative Care Conference 2024 focused on Great presentations by and insights from leaders including Anne Mosenthal, Susan Cohen, Cherisse Berry, MD, FACS, Joshua Chodosh, Steven Rivero, Rebecca Rosen, Megan Rau, Forrest Brooks, Jacob Diamant, and Michelle Romano Shami on this very important and challenging topic. On our panel, Elaine Gottesman, Bruce Gutierrez, Yael Zweig, and I discussed the potential for hashtag#elderabuse to complicate optimal assessment and management of hashtag#geriatrictrauma patients. We shared the experience of our hashtag#VulnerableElderProtectionTeam, an ED/hospital-based consultation service created to improve care for older adults experiencing hashtag#elderabuse.
