Rosen Lab Research

The Rosen Lab research focuses on improving identification, intervention, and prevention of elder mistreatment in the ED and hospital-based settings. Our clinical program, Vulnerable Elder Protection Team, gives us a unique opportunity to detect and help victims of elder mistreatment. Below, you can read more in detail about our current project (SIRENS) on the development of a novel primary care screening tool to identify and intervene on elder neglect in patients with dementia.

Our work has been supported by multiple funding sources including the National Institutes of Health / National Institute on Aging, New York State Office of Victim Services, The John A. Hartford Foundation, Elder Justice Foundation, Fan Fox and Leslie R. Samuels Foundation, and many more. We have greatly benefited from ongoing collaborations with colleagues both within Weill Cornell Medicine and across the country.
