I was honored to be invited to present recently to the Gender Fairness Committee and the Judicial Committee on Elder Justice of the Supreme Court, New York County, Civil Branch about our Vulnerable Elder Protection Team and improving the Emergency Department (ED) / hospital response to elder mistreatment. Thanks very much to Judge Deborah Kaplan, Joan Greenberg Levenson, Gregory Testa, and Megan Kamath, Esq. (Schnader) for the invitation. I also deeply appreciated learning from the judges and other attendees about other exciting programs and making connections. Successfully protecting and advocating for older adults requires professionals from multiple disciplines to work together!
