Elder mistreatment is common and can have serious social and medical consequences for affected order adults -- with older Veterans a particularly high risk. I really appreciated the invitation to present at part of the Louis Stokes Cleveland VAMC Social Work Symposium -- thanks so much to Dyan Hagy, Hillary McCollister, Lisa Boris, and the entire team -- and to VA leaders including: Lena Makaroun, LaCinda Jones, MSW, LISW-S,PMP, Jaime Halaszynski, and Colleen McQuown who are moving the field forward and advocating vulnerable Veterans experiencing or at risk for mistreatment.
